- 18 JUL 21 JULSummer School on Wave Turbulence
- 25 JUL 29 JULThis course aims to study the interaction between a fluid flow and the phase change of a solid, with a specific interest for environnemental and natural applications. The School is mainly addressed to doctoral students, post-docs and early career researchers.
- 29 AUG 02 SEPThe aim of the Symposium is to discuss most recent advances and open challenges encountered in flows in which rigid or deformable bodies move within a sharply or continuously stratified fluid medium, due to density and/or viscosity changes and possible surface tension and surfactants effects, both in geophysical and engineering contexts.
- 29 AUG 02 SEP
- 29 AUG 02 SEPParticle-laden flows span scales ranging from the microscopic fluid-structure interactions observed in cellular biology and microsystems, to the large-scale transport of sediments by turbulent environmental flows and engineering processes. Fundamental to understanding these processes are computational methods and numerical techniques, including LBM, IBM, FCM, DPD, SPH, SD,... The leading experts in the computational methods will share the state- of-the-art progress and compare techniques. Additionally, leading experimental researchers will also attend to provide new challenges and ground discussion in the application to physicalphenomena.
- 13 SEP 16 SEPThe EFMC is organized biennially under the auspices of the European Mechanics Society EUROMECH and covers all fields of fluid mechanics. Since the inaugural meeting in Cambridge 1991 the EFMC has evolved to the main fluid mechanics conference in Europe. It provides the opportunity to meet and discuss with the leading scientists in the field.
- 12 JUN 14 JUNAerovehicles 5 is meant as a place where engineers and researchers can exchange their ideas and progress in ground vehicle aerodynamics. It is a forum for engineers and scientists from both industry (manufacturers and operators of road vehicles and trains) and universities to present and discuss recent advances and latest methodologies in the field of vehicle aerodynamics, and identify research needs concerning: physical modelling; numerical predictions; experimental approaches and analysis of huge data fields.
