IUTAM Symposium on "Particles, Drops and Bubbles in Stratified Environments", July 4-7, 2022, Toulouse (France)

Du 29 août 2022 au 2 septembre 2022

The call for abstract is opened until March 1st, 2022. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by March 15th.

The aim of the Symposium is to discuss most recent advances and open challenges encountered in flows in which rigid or deformable bodies move within a sharply or continuously stratified fluid medium, due to density and/or viscosity changes and possible surface tension and surfactants effects, both in geophysical and engineering contexts.

Dear Colleagues,

it is a pleasure to announce the IUTAM Symposium on Particles, Drops and Bubbles in Stratified Environments which was initially supposed to take place in Toulouse in June 2020, and is now scheduled from July 4th to 7th, 2022, in hybrid form.

The Symposium will cover experimental, theoretical and computational approaches. It aims at bringing together internationally renowned scientists from all horizons to foster exchanges and strengthen cross-disciplinary work on the fascinating phenomena occurring under such flow conditions.
