This Euromech colloquium will gather together world-wide experts in the study of turbulent stratified flows, to discuss the main physical, experimental and computational challenges standing before us, and devise avenues to provide adequate solutions.
This Euromech colloquium will gather together world-wide experts in the study of turbulent stratified flows, to discuss the main physical, experimental and computational challenges standing before us, and devise avenues to provide adequate solutions.
Specific topics of the colloquium will be:
- Unbounded stably-stratified turbulence
- Wall-bounded stably stratified turbulence
- Internal gravity waves
- Unstably stratified turbulence
- Rayleigh-Benard Turbulence
- Non Oberbeck-Boussinesq effects in stratified turbulence
- Double diffusive convection
Keynote talks will be offered by (in alphabetic order):
