On behalf of my fellow conveners, I would like to invite you to submit contributions to the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (GFD) session at the AGU Annual Meeting 2026, which will be held in San Francisco (USA) from 7 to 11 December 2026. Please note that there is a strong possibility that this will be the last AGU Annual Meeting held in San Francisco for a decade, making this a particularly good opportunity to attend in person.This is a reference session for many scientists affiliated with the GDRs Mécanique des Fluides Géophysiques & Astrophysiques and Navier Stokes 2.00 and, as in previous years, we expect numerous abstract submissions from these communities.Please note that AGU and the Nonlinear Geophysics (NG) section, which hosts the GFD session, support the participation of students and early career scientists in the Annual Meeting through the AGU Honors Program, poster awards, and travel grants.
