Bubbles play an important role in the transport of chemicals and nutrients in many natural and industrial flows. The picture shows millimetric bubbles in homogeneous isotropic turbulence produced downstream an active grid in the Twente Water Tunnel (https://pof.tnw.utwente.nl/research/facilities/twt). We investigated their dynamics and their dispersion under the action of turbulence.
